Folkets Pops

04/06/2024

With a mission to bring gourmet fruit popsicles to Malmö in the most sustainable way, Michelle started Folkets Pops in 2018. With just her bicycle and a passion for real-fruit popsicles, she transformed the popsicle scene in Sweden.

Folkets Pops aims to minimize food waste by transforming rescued fruit from local markets into delicious summer treats. They support the community by collaborating with small producers and local farmers. Their naturally vegan sorbet pops are crafted using fresh fruit, a little Swedish beet sugar and organic herbs and spices.

Their philosophy of sustainability transcends mere words, 1 SEK from every pop is donated to save the bees; essential contributors to the fruit used in their popsicles.

Folkets Pops is also a proud member of the Malmö Food Council, the first food council of the Nordics, which worked with the World Food Forum to coordinate the Sustainable Gastronomy campaign locally in Malmö. This organization strives for a more diverse and sustainable food system in Malmö by facilitating conversations and addressing issues across various food sectors.
